Useful to know

1. The Registy Office ceremony space is small and really for family only as we don’t like to be in the spotlight (yep - that’s hard on your wedding day!).

2. If you are attending the ceremony you will need transport from Bristol city centre back to ours in Westbury. The no.1 bus drops you pretty much at our house - check out the ‘where’ section for further details.

3. There is a family only buffet lunch at around 1pm - salads + savoury pastries + cakes + fizz.

4. Guests should arrive from 3.30 onwards for the garden party.

5. Food will be served around 5 - we have a festival style food stall serving paella. This needs to be pre-ordered via the RSVP form.

6. We are really hoping for nice weather! If we do get a rainy day, there will be plenty of indoor spaces to hang out in, including a large stretch tent that will be erected in the garden.

7. We will provide a selection of beer, wine and snacks, including some nice soft drinks and things to munch on. We do not want presents but if you want to bring anything at all, then a contribution to the bar would certainly be appreciated.

8. We are also aware that there is an England football match on that evening (don’t worry, you will have the option to watch it if you want.)

9. The evening will end at around 11 for music (unless the police shut us down earlier!) You are welcome to hang around ‘till late if the night is still going strong.

10. There is no dress code or wedding formality. Wear what you like - hopefully more sunnies and shorts than galoshes and sou’westers…

11. A note about your lovely children - we aren’t specifically inviting children unless they are family. Many of you have older kids who would much rather be doing their own thing. But if your kids are younger and you don’t have childcare, it’s not a ‘no children’ scenario either - talk to us about it :)
